Another day, another blog post. I hope you're ready for this weeks blog post and if you aren't kick up your feet and enjoy.
So let's get the bad news out of the way first. You know, I know it, we all know it. Let's cut to the chase. Life is hard. Yup, life is really hard and you already know that which brings me to my good news. We all know it. You aren't in it alone, you have all these other people just trying to get by day after day.
Sometimes just the thought of that doesn't help though and maybe it never helps, so down below I've put together a list of things that will let you relieve yourself when life just gets a little bit too much.
- Color. It is psychological proven that coloring helps with stress and anxiety. I just went to Hobby Lobby and bought a Debbie Macomber coloring book (one of my favorite authors) it's detailed and the pictures are straight out of her books. It's pretty fantastic. So put on some classical tunes and grab your colored pencils or heck get some crayons. We all have that child inside of us.
- Personally one of my favorite things to do is read. I love curling up with a good book that transports to you that exact location with those specific characters. Whether it's or sunny or raining you can't go wrong with reading. It lets you escape to another life. I'm currently reading Let's Be Real by Natasha Bure. You may recognize her mom, Candace Cameron Bure who plays DJ from Full House and now Fuller House. (I'll post a link to some of my favorite reads down below.)
- Who doesn't love a good slice of moist chocolate cake or munching on some chewy homemade oatmeal cookies? That's why no. 3 brings us to baking! Bake things for yourself or maybe if you don't have much of a sweet tooth bake for your family, friends, and neighbors. A kind gesture goes miles.
- The tissue, the chocolate bar, and the comedy movie all in one. Talking to a friend, I don't know about you but after I'm done talking with my friends it's like everything in the world is right again. We usually meet up at a fast food place or each others houses and just talk about whats been going on. My chats with my friends tend to get really deep for some reason with even knowing. I don't know how but I am really glad they do.
- Like I said I love music but specially country music. For me when I need a break I grab my ukulele or guitar and just sing at the top of my lungs. Singing is proven to make you happier. I don't make the rules I just share them with you.
So I hope you do at least two of the things from this list and if you have stuff you'd like to add comment down below or hey maybe make you're own happy list and refer to it when you need a pick me up. Good chat until then,
Sammy

What You Need To Know
Hey! Sammy here.......welcome to my blog, "The Good Chat." This is a place where it's safe to be yourself, where it's safe to put down the mask, and where you can totally relax. So grab a glass of lemonade or a cup of tea because we're about to get started.
Before we dive into the deep or scrape of the surface stuff here are some things you should know about me.
1.) I'm a young adult, that's right I'm still figuring out life, still trying to balance happiness and this difficult world and really just trying to make every breath I have worth it without worrying. If you know everything there is to know about life and don't want to see what a 18 year old has to say then maybe you should just look for another blog but if you're still getting a hold of this life thing too pull up a chair.
2.) I'm the most passionate about five things. Those being music, writing, film, love and putting an end to human trafficking. You'll be seeing quite a few posts on all of these things and if you have something you want to see much touch on then please comment below.
3.) I am a country music junkie and you'll be seeing some posts on here about country music too! I love everything about it; the twang, the lyrics, and the overall nature of country music. It is one of those things that makes me filled with joy.
4.) I am a Catholic and I am so proud to say that. I'll definitely be sharing some things about my beliefs and morals but don't worry no shoving faith down your throat here.
5.) Lastly, my family, friends, and pets are so important to me. I would gladly lay down my life for anyone of them and you'll sometimes see posts inspired by them.
So that's basically who I am. You'll find more about me as this blog unravels, as for now let's all take a breath, enjoy life, and know you're not alone on this road of life. I'm right there with you.
Good chat, until next time
